My self host mailing product just get cancelled, ‘cause they don’t run it anymore.
Any suggestion?

mxrouting maybe? their service is much more stable.
Oh, that’s a bummer when a project just stops. I was actually looking at Mailcow or Mail-in-a-Box for something similar. They seem popular, but I’ve never set one up myself.
Do you think either of those would be okay for someone without a ton of experience? Also, is the setup really complicated on a basic VPS?
Bummer about your current setup shutting down. For self-hosted mailing lists, Mailcow is pretty solid if you want a full email server stack. For just mailing lists, Listmonk is a popular, simpler option that’s easier to maintain.
What’s your main use case—newsletters or more like group announcements?
bummer. self-hosted mailing list software is kinda niche now. i’ve used mailman3 for a while. it’s old but works, setup is a bit of a pain though.
anyone tried listmonk? heard it’s more modern.
hey, any good self-hosted mailing list software? mine just got shut down by the devs.
looking for something simple, like mailman but maybe newer? needs to run on a low-end vps. what are you guys using?
hey, my self-hosted mail setup got killed too. i’m using mailcow now, been solid for a few months. easy to deploy with docker, has webmail, decent spam filter.
if you want something lighter, check out mailu. also docker-based, simpler but gets the job done.
avoid mail-in-a-box unless you’re okay with less control.
what’s your vps specs?
mxrouting is solid, their infra is way more reliable than the old stuff. if you just need basic smtp for a few domains, it’s a good pick.
mxrouting is good, but their pricing is a bit high for a small list. any self-hosted options? i’m thinking maybe mailcow or mail-in-a-box? need something simple to setup on a vps.
mxrouting is solid, been using them for a few months now. no issues, setup was easy. their panel is simple, does what it says.
if you want full self-hosted, check out mailcow or mail-in-a-box. mailcow is more feature-rich, but a bit heavier. miab is simpler to get going. both have good docs.
just make sure your ip isn’t on any blacklists and reverse dns is set. otherwise you’ll have a bad time with deliverability.

yeah mailcow’s solid, but can be a bit heavy. miab is simpler for beginners.
setup’s not too bad if you follow the docs. just need a clean vps with a fresh ubuntu/debian install, a domain with proper dns records (mx, spf, dkim), and open ports 25/465/587.
main headache is keeping it off spam lists. warm up the ip slowly and use a relay like sendgrid for outgoing if your vps ip isn’t great.
